7 MM/.284 CALIBER 168 GR. HPBT MATCHKING
The 168 grain #1930 bullet has a large following in rifle silhouette competition, especially for rams. This bullet excels at long ranges (600-1000 yards). It has set numerous records in nearly all types of long-range rifle competition.
In handguns, this bullet has been used widely for handgun silhouettes and other target competitions. They deliver outstanding accuracy, high momentum downrange, and low sensitivity to crosswinds.
While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.
